Buddy Roamer Walker
The Buddy Roamer Walker is a posterior walking aid that provides partial weight-bearing postural support.
This World Autism Understanding Day, April 2nd, let’s move beyond just being 'aware' of Autism and Autistic people and start to understand, accept and celebrate Autism and Autistic people.
What reasonable adjustments might be required to support children with Autism in your environment?
Standing frames can be used for children who are unable to stand independently, to keep their body in good alignment and posture.
The Jenx Multistander is designed for use with children aged between 9 months and 13 years. The frames have an upright design and the height of the frame and leg positions are adjustable without the need to use any tools. A tray comes with this stand, which can be stored when not in use.
.
Use of standing frames should only occur for periods of time where the child’s peers are also standing
Educators should consult with therapists and parents about the amount of time appropriate for use
Educators need to plan how standing frames will be used in terms of staffing, routines and experiences within the care environment to maximise children’s participation in the program and interaction with peers
